Oh! Mexico have been chasing Canada for third place ever since the optional dives started and they finish strongly with a score of 85.32 - but it's not enough.

Canada remain in the bronze medal position.

They are remarkable entries into the water, wow. I've never seen the Chinese coaches punch the air, but they just did. Wow. Look at that spin speed, China are even further out in front. It's there's to lose. They've got their hands around the gold, but we've seen what can happen.

Oh it's good, it's really good! Tom's dive in particular was perfect execution, Noah was a little bit off but still a really good dive. They could squeeze on synchro, it won't be over 90, but it will be high 80s. A solid silver is written all over this, but they've still got their biggest dive to come.

Another big dive and a difficult one, the three and a half somersaults. There's a couple of synchronisation blemishes but overall, it's solid and it's another decent score of 87.72.

What a response! You cannot take it away from these Chinese athletes, Noah Williams and Tom Daley laid the gauntlet, they just said 'yeah, whatever'. You have to just acknowledge that was brilliant. Another 90+ and this is good as you're going to see it. That synchronisation, holy moly.
